Entrepreneur Teacher

Tom Farber is demonstrating the resourcefulness that may very well be the key attribute of an entrepreneur. Tom is a calculus teacher, who likes to give his students lots of practice tests. However when his school district in a suburb of San Diego informed him that they were slashing spending on school supplies, he had a big problem. His copying budget was being reduced to only $316, which is at least $200 too low. With the Advance Placement exams coming up in the spring he wanted to give his students even more practice exams.

So what did he do? He has begun selling ads on his test papers: $10 for a quiz, $20 for a chapter test and $30 for a final exam. With over 75 requests he has raised over $300 so far and his final exam is already sold out.

His school district and his students are lucky to have this entrepreneur who masquerades as a teacher, who is teaching his students much more that just calculus.
